Glad you are on the mend! 🧡🧡🧡

And... I couldn't read my newsletter, because I already knew what I was in for and I was scared! HAHA!

I read all of my newsletters via email vs the app, I don't have the app anymore. So I set up my gmail to ONLY show me my most recent 5 emails. In order for me to see what's waiting beneath those 5 (something my BRAIN MUST KNOW RIGHT NOW!) I have to either read or delete what's in places 1-5. It has made me a lot more ferocious in "to read or not to read" and not leave them there for "later". I want to read or I don't, and there are so many factors that come into that (time, headspace, energy... ya know).

Anyway, all that to say I seem to have a lot more time now not in my emails and the reading of newsletters I am doing, I am loving! Haha.

Hope you are 100% very soon! 🧡

Hope you feel back to 100% soon, Jo! And I have to say I had a similar reaction to Substack's mail out.

Thank you, Susannah!

And, I’m somehow relieved to know I’m not alone in my reaction to that email. Oddly, I felt kind of like a jerk about it. I wonder if maybe the message unintentionally pushed people who were teetering on the line of either diving in 100%, or backing off, to whichever camp they truly feel in their gut is the place for them.

Yeah I imagine there have been both reactions. My email said I'd read a million words!! To be honest I know that's not true because there are some emails I get that are lists of lit mags to submit to and I'm not reading every word but still, that's a lot of book time...
