Incredible how much of this resonated with me when we lead such different lives in a lot of the "main" ways, I love that so much. The entirety of the self-care section was a "YES!" after "YES!" for me. Love reading your words so much and how you break them down to show how they are playing out so beautifully for you.

I also really appreciate the image to find words. I got: Connection, Strength, Creation and Breakthrough and I am really happy with these. They mean a lot and I have popped them in the notes on my phone (PINNED!) to come back to when I need.

I love all of this, LD! Thank you! ♥️

And your words! It’s wild to me how we see the words that seem to fit where we are. It would be fun to use this exact image in a year and see what stands out then.

Soooo much of parenting is actually managing ourselves in various ways! Also, the device-free family time on the weekend sounds positively lovely.

Before becoming a parent it’s something I never would have imagined, but you’re so right. Managing ourselves is a huge part of it!

And the device free weekends, it was shocking to me how frequently I caught myself reaching for my phone to mindlessly scroll at first. So happy, and relieved, to break the habit!

Sunday Supper sounds amazing! Storytelling and dance breaks, yes please. I don't want what mad libs are but I am sure I would be down.

Mad libs are super short fill in the blank stories. You fill in the blanks with verbs, nouns, and adjectives, depending on what’s needed, without seeing the actual story. Then you read the put together version of the story. The finished products are ridiculously silly, and so funny.

The bonus is that we’ve unintentionally taught Asher (age 5) what verbs, nouns, and adjectives are!
